Moving website to new server...

Updates (Latest on top)

Jul 02 - 18:30: Setup and installation is proceeding well now!! Again, because we want to make damn sure everything works right, we're taking it slow, and double-checking everything at every stage. If not online by the end of tonight, then it should be up and running by tomorrow night (Thursday).

Jul 02 - 12:35: Hosts finally responded with something USEFUL, and we were able to get the server reinstalled. Saturn is now working on setting it up, but is being extra cautious with this new setup. As a result, it will take some time to complete. Most likely will be online sometime Thursday (tomorrow).
Jul 01 - 16:30: Finally got a reply on the ticket -- which told us to send them an email to a specific address. They then replied ot the email saying (in french, even though it's a UK service) to go to a specific web link and provide more information. Upon following the link (webpage in french also), it said we couldn't log on because we have a GB account, not a FR one.. truly useless. We've now opened a new support ticket explaining the entire situation and again asking for a proper reinstall... and now we wait for a reply...
Jun 30 - 20:30: Still awaiting a response from the hosting company... We're dead in the water until they reply. (grrr)
Jun 30 - 11:55: The server hosts have this really nifty web-based automated server reinstallation script... Extra nifty because it keeps crashing about an hour into it... A support ticket has been lodged with them and we're waiting on a reply...
Jun 29 - 20:30: Reinstall... *cough* failed utterly... The previous install was seriously corrupt and cound not be UNinstalled... Saturn has just spent about 7 hours today just trying to trick it into uninstalling (sigh). After 7 hours of this crap, the decision has been made to back up the web data and put in for a wip eand fresh reinstall from the hosting company. Not sure how long that request will take, probably till tomorrow anyhow. During that time, this page is all you're going to see. Next update when we know the status of the re-imaging.
Jun 29 - 15:00: Previous configuration was NOT working out (constantly overloaded server), so attempting to do a full reinstall of the software and re-apply configuration...
Jun 28 - 14:55: Doing final touches on web server config; website should be back online very shortly!
Jun 28 - 14:30: Configuring webserver software (having a few problems making it cooperate...)
Jun 28 - 13:30: Database has been transferred... (still more to do!)
Jun 28 - 13:00: It has begun!
